THE PRACTICE

Heph's work draws from Yoruba formal traditions, Arte Povera, Brutalism, Scandinavian craft and Memphis design — translated through materials including burned timber, palm wood, scrap steel, marble and gold leaf.

The studio operates across two tiers: Heph Haute for collectible and commissioned work, and Heph Studio for more accessible production pieces.

Heph's work has been featured in Dwell Magazine, Interior Design Magazine and ThisDay Style.

Automotive red lacquer on mahogany Theme: Play

The V1 Bench is a study in play — a sculptural seating form in automotive red lacquer mahogany, built around a circular cutout and a split, arched backrest. The piece sits at the intersection of function and provocation, treating the bench as an object to be looked at as much as sat on. Its glossy, automotive-grade red finish gives it a pop, almost toy-like presence that contrasts with the weight and formality of the mahogany beneath.
